The launch of the first look at the Mustang GTD gave us the chance to channel our inner rebellious streak.
What better way to balance Mustang's unapologetic attitude with a sense of on-brand fun than through the eyes of a child playing with model cars? The GTD roared to life and challenged the established order, while eagle-eyed viewers might notice those toy cars weren't Fords, but a few familiar rivals.
This was my first introduction to the GTD. The ambition behind it and, most importantly, the people building it sparked what would later become Road to the Ring, a much bigger story that followed Ford's pursuit of Nürburgring history.
